Lean and Green Italy presents first 7 Lean and Green Awards
On 5 December the Freight Leaders Council Italy presented the first 7 Lean and Green Awards in Italy. Six of the seven Award Winners are sister companies of Dutch Lean and Green Award Winners.

On Thursday evening 8 November the honourable Dr. Walther Ploos van Amstel presented the Dutch Logistics Award to Connekt for its Lean and Green programme.

Over 250 Lean and Green Award Winners
On the 1st of October, Lean and Green Award Winner PostNL delivered a cake, offered by Lean and Green Award Winner HEMA, to the entire Lean and Green network. Lean and Green reached a major milestone: Over 250 Award Winners are connected with the Lean and Green Community. This means that more than 250 companies and municipalities have committed themselves to the ambition to reduce at least 20% CO2 within five years. The Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment linked this objective to the Lean and Green program, which Connekt started in 2008

Lean and Green welcomes 19 new Front-runners!
The programme Lean and Green is now supporting 231 front-runners. All new front-runners will recieve the Lean and Green Award on November the 8th.

First Lean and Green Star Winners
Four companies which have each achieved their Lean and Green objectives to reduce CO₂ by 20% in five years have, this afternoon, been presented with a Lean and Green Star by Nico Anten, managing director of Connekt. SCA Hygiene Products Consumer B.V., Moonen Packaging, Arla Foods BV and Wim Bosman Logistic Services B.V. will be able to use the Lean and Green Star from today as a symbol of their effective work towards durable logistics.

Update on Lean and Green Italy
Federico Oneto, Secretary General of the Freight Leaders Council, enthusiastically reports about recent progress of Lean and Green Italy. Almost 15 companies have shown their interest and are working hard to finish their plan of action in time – so that they can officially receive the Lean and Green Award at the first ceremony, planned coming September.
